I believe that I have fixed the issue with the Player not grounding in Editor until it has been selected in the Hierarchy. This was due to the code for setting the grounding raycast values being in the CharacterMovement editor OnSceneGUI() script.

Fixed jump and movement. However, velocity.x still zeroes on landing for some reason. Moving to PC because I don't have my mac charger with me.
